Ask and you shall receive. Takes in all pro leagues and not just the NBA.

From another thread a few weeks ago, but updates on a lot of former Mountaineers, plus new articles from the combine if you scroll down.

If there's a new thread, use it. Seeing Devin Williams' statistics made me wonder about D League salaries.

Is basketball Devin Williams' part time job? At $35K a year, he must be working somewhere else to make ends meet, right?

This is, without a doubt, the best paying minor league system, I dont think the ECHL even pays that well.

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted. Dax signed a two-way deal with the Sac Kings. With that he'll make a base of $75k while in the G-league and can spend up to 45 days with the team in the NBA. Pretty good deal for someone who wasn't getting much attention.

Jevon had a pretty good outing today and completely exposed Trey Young.... AGAIN.

John Antonik said "Looks like @nextlevel_03 guarded @TheTraeYoung all the way to the water fountain during today’s NBA summer league game. Isn’t summer supposed to be fun? @WVUhoops"

Jaren Jackson Jr. with his 4th 3-pointer of the first half. The final one from almost 40 feet... Meanwhile Trae Young is 0-for-9 from the floor - as Javon Carter has put the clamps on him

The @memgrizz are 1-0 to start the summer after a 103-88 win over the Hawks. Jevon Carter: 10 pts, 5 reb, 3 ast Trae Young shot 4-20, including 1-11 from 3. I wonder who defended him.

(BTW, the lone made 3 pointer happened when Jevon was on the bench)

Young is by far one of the most overrated players I've ever seen, Jevon is a world class defender, but he's locked him up every single time they've played. I see why there's Curry comparisons, but man Curry is miles ahead of this guy even when he first entered the league, Young's gonna have to grow a lot to meet potential.

Carter didn't look as good last night, didn't score but 2 pts and had a couple turnovers but I think he will make it. I watched the overview with Young after his first game against Carter and he sounded so optimistic despite playing like a freshman in high school. Good for Carter!

Anyone seen/heard anything else about this? From EerSports:

"The news was not quite as positive for former shooting guard Daxter Miles, who did not make the trip with the Kings to Las Vegas, apparently being released after a three-game stint with Sacramento during the first session of NBA Summer League."

https://247sports.com/college/west-vir ... ariety-of-Ways-119650388/

Update: Apparently true.

https://www.sacbee.com/sports/nba/sacr ... ngs/article214411799.html

"The three are replacing Allerik Freeman, Daxter Miles Jr. and Elston Turner Jr. on the summer roster. It's not immediately known why these three players were released."

I watched it ~ Isaiah Thomas, the announcer, kept saying Carter was controlling the tempo of the game. Carter had crazy drives to the basket. There was lots of praise passed out to him, WVU, and Huggins. Carter is bringing tons of good PR to our program.

If anybody is awake and watching TV, Memphis is playing in Summer League on ESPN2, and Carter has 18 points and 5 rebounds at halftime.
