'Eers, you were one lucky man to be in that stadium on Jan. 2....the looks were priceless on the TV. Wish I could have experienced it firsthand.

I was there - they wouldn't even look at us. Before the game they were unsufferable . . . "why do we have to play the big least? Where is Morgantown, anyway?" And so on.

At the end, they cowered under their chairs.

Priceless.

-How did you become a Mountaineer fan?

Born and raised in Charleston, WV. It's either Marshall or WVU here and everyone knows it's much cooler to be a WVU fan. ;)

-Favorite WVU Sports Moment?

Driving back from FL and listening to the Wake game on the radio. My hands were numb from grabbing the back of the seat so hard.

And I've rewound and watched the fake punt like 50 billion times. If I could make it my avatar I would.

-Most Painful WVU Sports Moment?

The loss to Louisville in the Elite Eight. I actually cried. Scatch that...I bawled. The last two bowls games that I attended sucked too...but no tears.

-Have you ever actually burned a couch?

Surpisingly no, since I'm a fucking pyro.

-You have to choose between a National Championship in
basketball or football- which one?

Of course football. Bball would be pretty special though.

-Most hated rival?

I loathe VT, but it's hard to hate a team you don't play anymore. I will now direct all of my hatred toward Pitt. And for the record I don't nor have I ever hated Marshall. I actually pull for them in most cases.

-Most embarrassing WVU-related item you’ve ever purchased?

A WMITC t-shirt...yikes!

-Most hardcore drinking moment?

I went to the UCF game in Orlando 2 years ago and was trashed sitting in the hot ass Florida sun trying my damndest not to vomit. It was NOT fun.

-Favorite game-day tradition?

This is gay but I always make sure I get up at 10:30 on saturdays just to catch College Gameday in hopes that WVU gets a shout out. Lame...I know.

-If John Beilein and Rich Rodriguez squared off in a dual, who would win?

I refuse to answer this. Well at least until we know if Beilein is staying or not. ;)

-Favorite current player, football or basketball?

I would like to make sweet love to Mike Gansey and well Steve slaton gives me that warm tinglely feeling inside.

How did you become a Mountaineer fan?

Born in raised in WVa.. Attended WVU in early 90s, left for grad school, came back to WVU, left after school, finally moved back to MoTown for good.

Favorite WVU Sports Moment?

The Play by Major Harris. Penn State '88.

Most Painful WVU Sports Moment?

The Blocked Punt. Miami '96.

Have you ever actually burned a couch?

Yes. I lived on Grant Avenue in '93 when we last went undefeated. Lots of couches died that year. The city turned a blind eye back then. After the '93 Miami win there were couches burning all night long. A wine jug full of gasoline works realy well as an accelerant.

You have to choose between a National Championship in basketball or football- which one?

football

Most hated rival?

Syracuse. I will never forgive that shit from Marvin Graves in '92.

Most embarrassing WVU-related item you’ve ever purchased?

Trick Question.

Most hardcore drinking moment?

WVU beats Louisville in 93. Bonged 7 beers in 30 mins pregame. Another 10 at home that night, including 3 at once in 4.5 seconds to beat some punk who thought he could chug faster.

Favorite game-day tradition?

Standing on the Law school hill with a 12 of Natty Light watching the sun rise over Mountaineer field.

If John Beilein and Rich Rodriguez squared off in a dual, who would win?

Ditka.

Favorite current player, football or basketball?

I'd say R-Rod if he were a player, but since hes not I'll go with Pat White.

-How did you become a Mountaineer fan?
West Virginian by birth...Mountaineer by the grace of God. I was born here in Clarksburg, spent a small amount of time in Wheeling and ended up back here...so I was sort of born into it. There's no other place I would rather be. Plus I'm a distant relative of Jerry West

-Favorite WVU Sports Moment? I thought the shutout Rutgers game was pretty comical...the Sugar Bowl was pretty mind blowing though
-Most Painful WVU Sports Moment?
two words...Texas Longhorns
-Have you ever actually burned a couch?
it's best not to ask questions ha
-You have to choose between a National Championship in
basketball or football- which one?
football by far
-Most hated rival?
Puck Fitt...although I do have Va Tech, Miami, etc.
-Most embarrassing WVU-related item you’ve ever purchased?
surprisingly I don't think there are any of those
-Most hardcore drinking moment?
too many to list off the top of my head
-Favorite game-day tradition?
several thousand drunk fans singing Country Roads at the top of their lungs...how could you not love it. John Denver was close to being right.. Almost heaven? Bull shit
-If John Beilein and Rich Rodriguez squared off in a dual, who would win? West Virginia University would explode...then Rich would win because he could very well be God
-Favorite current player, football or basketball?
Steven Slaton is the first one to come to mind

-How did you become a Mountaineer fan?
Always been a Mountaineer fan. 99% of the folk in my family are (a few went to that so-called university in Huntington...we no longer speak to them)

-Favorite WVU Sports Moment?
Jared West's three pointer in the 1998 basketball tournament to send the Mountaineers to the Sweet 16 for the first time in years...

All four quarters of the Sugar Bowl (I thought someone had just appeared and mowed down the Georgia team from the look of the GA fan's faces.)

On a personal level...my high school year when all my friends came up to the house to watch WVU and the Chokies play...we had turkey sandwiches in honor of the game LOL

-Most Painful WVU Sports Moment?
Kellen Winslow's catch and seemingly every Miami football game ever the last few years they were in conference.

-Have you ever actually burned a couch?
No
-
You have to choose between a National Championship in
basketball or football- which one?
This is really a toss up. If you asked me this six months ago I would have probably said basketball...Gansey, Noggle and the boys deserved one. But now football just because it would be so freaking awesome (I'd probably light more than a couch afire...)

-Most hated rival?
Marshall ...win one basketball game and all of a sudden their football team is the Green Bay Packers and the basketball team is the Miami Heat. Never have seen the collaboration here.
Tech and Pitt are a very close second...never seen fans as rude as the VT crowd (wait. yes I have...the UVA crowd...freaking Virginia-no offense to any Virginians who post here)

-Most embarrassing WVU-related item you’ve ever purchased?
Ummm have to think longer on this one.

-Favorite game-day tradition?
Listening to the Pre-Game with my dad (yep boring I know but these games are a family affair)

-If John Beilein and Rich Rodriguez squared off in a dual, who would win?
It is impossible to put this much awesomeness in the same place at the same time for the Space Time continuum would collapse.

-Favorite current player, football or basketball?
In football with would be Steve Slaton (all that talent and doesnt' brag a bit.)
Still too early to tell on the new look basketball team...although Frank Young is a front runner.

-How did you become a Mountaineer fan?
I was born with the Old Gold and Blue blood in my veins. When my mother was in labor, she was watching a WVU game at the hospital.

-Favorite WVU Sports Moment?
Darris Nichols' half-court 3 vs. Northwestern to end the first half.

At the end of the Black Diamond Trophy series, WVU leads the series by 6.

Sugar Bowl win, of course.

And that sweet-ass big block performed by Pat against UConn.

-Most Painful WVU Sports Moment?
The fact that Pitt has 20 wins on us in the Backyard Brawl series.

WVU is being forced to play Marshall High School in football.

-Have you ever actually burned a couch?
Unfortunately, not yet. I will in Arizona after we win the title.

-You have to choose between a National Championship in
basketball or football- which one?
If Ganesy, Kevin, and the rest of 'em were back for another year I'd say basketball; they deserved it. But, I'm going with football.

-Most hated rival?
Oh, man. Too tough to call. Maryland is gay, Pitt is Pitt (enough said), Marshall would be more fit in Ohio than West Virginia, VT is nothing but a bunch of worthless cocksuckers.

-Most embarrassing WVU-related item you’ve ever purchased?
None of 'em are embarassing.

-Most hardcore drinking moment?
I don't drink. Not really my thing.

-Favorite game-day tradition?
Taking the field to do pregame. It's one hell of a rush.

-If John Beilein and Rich Rodriguez squared off in a dual, who would win?
Nah, they wouldn't throw down. They'd go egg Pruett's place.

-Favorite current player, football or basketball?
Both Slaton and White. On the basketball side, I'd have to say Nichols.

We're doing a band spectacular at Mountaineer Field in September, but our schedule is always subject to change.

I can't wait for the Louisville game. The band gets to go, and needless to say I'm pretty excited about it.
